Coral Bay General Holiday Information
Coral Bay is an established beach resort located above a bay with dark golden sand. Coral Bay is located approximately 11 kilometers from the town of Paphos and is the best natural beach in the area. The Coral Bay Beach is an European Blue Flag beach, where children can play safely and in the summer months you can enjoy many different kinds of water sports.
On the Coral Bay strip you will find banks, mini markets for groceries and souvenirs, bars, restaurants and other shops. You can also find tavernas and snack bars overlooking the sea and a large restaurant in the next bay which is open during the day. More tavernas and local shops are a short drive away.
Coral Bay is an excellent spot for a relaxing seaside holiday, but also a perfect base for anyone wishing to tour the Paphos Region.

Sports & nature
Cyprus has a number of nature trails within the state forests in various parts of the island, from Cape Gkreko in the southeast to Akamas Peninsula in the West. These have been carefully designed to cover areas of rich natural vegetation and cultural interest. They have been landscaped on gentle gradients and are, as a rule, circular so that all age groups can easily use them.
The fresh mountain air and the fragrance of cedars, pines and cypress forests are a unique experience. Some of the walking paths in Troodos lead along crystal clear little streams, creeks and waterfalls. The peninsula of Akamas, which is protected area, offers exciting walking tours. Recommended walking tours are the Aphrodite and Adonis nature trails.
In many cases, there are signposts in place, to indicate the starting point of the trail, as well as flora and geology features along the route. Although walking in Cyprus can be enjoyed throughout the year, the recommended seasons are during late autumn (November) and spring, when the Cyprus rural and forest areas are at full bloom.
